He married Vera G HOMES (Cambridge Q3-1940 3B:2055). They appear to have had a son, John, (registered Q1-1942 Cambridge). George seems to have died (Cambridge Q2-1943 3B:561), buried on 8th May 1943 in Soham. Possibly in the 1939 register as George PALMER [23-2-1915] a lorry driver at Qua Fen Common, Soham with James SUMMERS [19-3-1861] farm labourer and his wife Clara [10-3-1862].
